SAND LIBRARY
An arenophile is one who collects sand samples, the interest of the hobby lying in the variety of texture, colour, mineralogy and location.
Our ever growing sand collection includes sands from many origins. Each of them have different colour, texture and grain size. Each of them demonstrate different qualities when they are combined with blown glass. This sand archive has been growing thanks to the contributions by our project participants.

Each sand results in different texture when it is infused into glass. These are some the glass sphere samples with the corresponding sands.
